I love, I see, I paint
On Monday, June 15, the exhibition “I Love, I See, I Paint…” (“Volim, vidim, slikam…”) by members of the Art Section of the Matica hrvatska Branch in Šibenik was ceremoniously opened.
The Art Section of the Matica hrvatska Branch in Šibenik has been active since the very inception of the re-established Branch—dating back to the late 1980s, a time of great enthusiasm during the creation of the independent homeland.
Typically, the Branch presents an exhibition at the end of the year; however, as certain members wished to gain a better understanding of the pastel art technique, they joined art workshops led by visual artist and architect Neven Zoričić. This is now an established team presenting their work in this space for the second time.
Pastel, a technique combining elements of both drawing and painting, is a favorite of the workshop leader; he guided the participants through the fundamentals of visual syntax and helped them master the elements of visual language.
The workshops were attended by Lara Bobinac, Živana Bilić, Tatiana Chekina, Jadranka Jakoliš Klarić, Višnja Juroš, Mirjana Labura, Jasminka Lovrić, Nevena Protega, Katarina Simsig, and Vedrana Škugor.
The exhibition remains open until June 25, 2026. Admission is free.
