UNESCO World Tourism Event
After Assisi, Padua and Siena, this year’s “World Tourism Event for Unesco Sites” is being held in Rome, from September 26-28.
Each year, more than 120 UNESCO sites participate in a worldwide tourism event to promote more aware and responsible cultural tourism.
The aim of the event is not only to promote and give visibility to UNESCO cities and sites, but also to offer opportunity for reflection and discussion on tourism policies, starting from the UNESCO brand. Italy with 54 UNESCO sites is the country with the highest number on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The UNESCO list also includes the Cathedral of St James – interpreted by our Center – ”Civitas Sacra”.
The World Tourism Event is organized by M&C Marketing Consulting and sponsored by the Association of UNESCO Italian Heritage Sites and Cities, MIBAC, UNESCO Italian Committee and with the support of ENIT
