Christmas sales exhibition
”𝘑𝘰𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴” is the name of the exhibition by Božidar Škofač, which was opened today in the gallery “St. Nikola Tavelić” within the Interpretation Centre ”Civitas Sacra”.
It is an exhibition of oil paintings in which one motif is repeated, and that is the birth of the child Jesus. The artist placed this sacred event in a living environment, and the characters are dressed in traditional attire.
Božidar Škofač was born in 1950 in the village of Letovanić in Pokupje. He is a painter of the landscape and environment in which he lives and whose authenticity he is imbued with, hence his indisputable affiliation with the circle of Croatian native painters. He is a portraitist of wooden traditional architecture, sacral architecture, the village of Letovanić and the river Kupa. He is the winner of the state award 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘰 𝘈𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘪ć, which is awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
The exhibition was initiated by the National Sanctuary of St. Joseph in Karlovac and the Rector of the Sanctuary, Msgr. Antun Sente Jr. and all works are for sale.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and you can see it until February 2, 2021
