The Interpretation Centre of the Cathedral of St James

Today, our Center held an art workshop for students of the Jakov Gotovac Elementary School from Unešić, entitled “Motifs of the Cathedral of St. James in Applied Use”.

The goal was to explore and learn about the cultural heritage of the city of Šibenik, namely the Cathedral of St. James, through the appropriate art technique of modeling and shaping clay. The students shaped a holder for pencils, brushes, etc. and in relief they shaped the motifs of the cathedral, a rosette, heads or St. Michael.

The works that the students shaped in the workshop will go through a drying phase and two firing phases, after which the students will receive their works.

After the workshop, the students, accompanied by their teachers and interpreter Ana, went on a guided tour through the Centre.
