Portraits of the City
On Friday, August 1, the watercolor exhibition “Portraits of the City” by the academic painter Nerica Abdulić – Osmančević was officially opened.
After finishing high school in her native Banja Luka, she enrolled in studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and graduated in 1989 in the class of prof. Radovan Tadić on the topic “Artistic interpretation of reality”.
He was engaged in educational and pedagogical work in Banja Luka until the middle of 1992, when due to the events of the war, he went into exile in Austria, where he continued to work in the art and education sector, as well as in the graphic industry. He returned to BiH in 2010, and since 2015 he has the status of a prominent freelance artist of BiH.
Awards: Werbe Grand Prix der Fachzeitung “Tourist Austria”,
Medal “Signum Laudis” (Prospekt Bad Mittendorf),
2nd place for the series of four posters “Lebensräume”, National Park Hohe Tauern Austria.
The exhibition ”Portraits of the City” was opened by Croatian art historian and art critic, Stanko Špoljarić, who, as always, presented his own unique view of the exhibited works and the technique itself.
The exhibition will remain open until August 16, 2025, and admission is free.
