Exhibition opening of paintings and drawings
Exhibition opening of paintings and drawings by 8th grade student of the elementary school “Vrpolje” Antonela Knežević, in the gallery “St. Nikola Tavelić “within the Interpretation Centre “Civitas Sacra” will be held on Friday, June 3, starting at 19:00.
Antonela Knežević was born on July 9, 2007 in Šibenik, and she developed a special love for drawing and painting in kindergarten. He has been taking painting courses at the Lana Art Gallery for five years, under the mentorship of academic painter Lana Martinović Čala (2015-2020).
The first exhibition of art in the Lana Art Gallery was a drawing of a parrot in the mosaic technique in 2016. Through her acquaintance with painting and its historical periods, as well as through her acquaintance with painting techniques, Antonela found a great love for sacral painting, which became the main theme and inspiration for her works. Her painting role models are Iris Mihatov Miočić, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Cloude Monet, and her favorite techniques are charcoal and pencil, acrylic, dry pastel and watercolor.
Antonela Knežević has participated in numerous art workshops and competitions and has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work. Although only fourteen years old, many of Antonela’s paintings and drawings already adorn the walls of houses and monasteries, and Antonela is already receiving orders for artwork.
The organizers of the exhibition are Vrpolje Elementary School and the Catholic Elementary School Šibenik.
The exhibition remains open until June 15, and admission is free.
