LIK 2025 opened

Last week, another County competition-exhibition of primary and secondary school students opened in the gallery of the Interpretation Centre.
This year’s theme was ”Traces in Time”, and the host of the competition was the Vidici Elementary School.

The County Competition-Exhibition of Primary School Students in Visual Arts and Design LIK 2025, in the category of Visual Culture 5th – 8th Grades, received a total of 23 art/visual works from 9 schools in the Šibenik-Knin County.

The selection committee evaluated all submitted works on the given art theme and art task, and the maximum total score is 60 according to the evaluation criteria:
1. originality of the idea (individual expression, distant associations), clarity of the message and connection with the theme
2. relationship between the idea, form and media/material (method of visualizing the idea, departure from the solution in the works of art)
3. visual language: application of the selected compositional principle and selected visual elements (consistency)
4. skill in accomplishing the task in the medium and material (managing the medium/material, variations in the application of the medium/material, completion of the works).
The committee consisted of: Antoni Paškov, prof. lic. cult., member; Manuela Srdarev, prof. lic. cult., member; Ivana Skroza, acad. painter, member and Nera Čače, prof. lic. cult., member (substitute).

According to the decision of the committee, the highest ranked students are:
First place: Nina Šimat, Murterski škoji Elementary School, mentor: Ivana Skroza
Second place: Nela Bakula, Vidici Elementary School, mentor: Stela Čuturić
Third place: Mia Maleš, Petra Krešimira IV Elementary School, mentor: Antoni Paškov.

To make sure everything went as smoothly as possible, musical guests took care of it – students from Vidici Elementary School, under the mentorship of music teacher Dolores Terzanović, performed the songs ”Marice, divojko” and ”Čija je ono divojka”.

Stela Čuturić, acad. painter-graphic artist, was in charge of organizing the competition, and Antoni Paškov, professor of fine arts, was in charge of preparing the catalogue.
