New exhibition of Ukrainian artists in Civitas Sacra
On Saturday, April 26, two exhibitions of famous Ukrainian painters and sculptors were opened at the Centre, organized by the Ukrainian Culture Society CVIT and supported by the Council for National Minorities of the Republic of Croatia.
The group exhibition is entitled “Hands that Create Eternity”. It is set up in the multimedia hall and exhibits by Oleksandr Suholit, Tetiana Rusetska, Kateryna Veshtak, Iryna Veshtak-Ostromenska, Larisa Klyushkina, Volodymyr Veshtak, Oksana Hehedysh, Volodymyr Glukhomanyuk, Elmira Shemsedinova and Yevheniia Bakhtihareieva.
In the gallery space, instead of the planned solo exhibition “Suholit. Gold” by sculptor Oleksandr Suholit, his exhibition “My model” was set up. It is a conceptual exhibition of the relationship between a painter and his model through drawings and texts.
The planned exhibition of figurines made of gold unfortunately did not reach Šibenik due to problems at the Hungarian border.
The curator of the exhibition and president of the Foundation for Humanitarian Development of Ukraine, Natalia Zabolotna, thanked the free Šibenik in free Croatia on behalf of the exhibitors, and emphasized how Ukrainian artists preserve the cultural identity of their country with their works amidst the most difficult war conditions.
The exhibition remains open until May 26, and admission is free.
