Lecture announcement

On Monday, April 28, another interesting lecture will be held in the multimedia hall of the Centre, organized by the Society for the Preservation of Šibenik Heritage “Juraj Dalmatinac”.
The lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. Sc. Ivana Prijatelj Pavičić on the topic: Horatius Fortezza.
The presentation will discuss the stylistic, typological, iconographic and historical analysis of several objects engraved by Horatius Fortezza that were exhibited at the exhibition dedicated to Fortezza and the goldsmithing of his time held at the Klovićevi dvori (September – November 2024), and the Foscari tray from the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, which Flora Turner Vučetić recently attributed to Fortezza and dated it around 1560.
Prof. Dr. Sc. Ivana Prijatelj Pavičić deals with Dalmatian art from the 14th to the 19th century and artists of Croatian origin known as Schiavoni.
She is a full professor with a permanent position at the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Split. As a visiting professor, she has lectured at three universities abroad. She has published six independent books, several scientific papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings, and chapters in conference proceedings and books. She has edited several conference proceedings and books and participated in several domestic and foreign scientific conferences. She has participated in the organization of several scientific conferences. She has led two independent scientific research projects, and as an associate she has participated in four Croatian scientific research projects and several international projects.
The lecture begins at 7:30 PM. Admission is free.
