Announcement of Ivo Glavaš lecture
On Wednesday, March 26th, starting at 7pm, a humanitarian lecture will be held in the multimedia hall, organized by the Lions Club Šibenik.
The lecturer is conservator Dr. Sc. Ivo Glavaš with the topic “How much do we know about the history of settlements in the former territory of the Šibenik medieval commune?”, and he will explain how and when individual settlements in the former Šibenik medieval commune were created. Using the examples of Tribunj, Vodice, settlements on the island of Prvić, Raslina, Tisno and Betina, he will explain the different ways in which Šibenik medieval settlements emerged and developed, whether they already existed before the 15th century, or whether they emerged during the turbulent times of the Ottoman invasions of Venetian Dalmatia.
