Announcement of the exhibition opening
The exhibition “The Sculptor and His Stone” will open on Saturday, August 1, at 7:30 PM.
The exhibition’s creator, Nick Kačić, hails from Trogir and belongs to the historic Croatian Kačić-Mišić family. He moved to America at a very young age, where he completed his studies and training in art and sculpture, continuing his family’s stonemasonry tradition as a seventh-generation practitioner. His family originally came from Brist but moved to the island of Brač in the distant past, where they operated their own quarry, “Kačić & Sons.” They remained on Brač until 1945, when they were expelled and subsequently fled to Trogir.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
