Announcement of a new exhibition
The new edition of the exhibition ”Croatian Saints and Blesseds in our Nation”, realized this year by the academic artist Iris Mihatov Miočić, will be officially opened in the gallery ”St. Nikola Tavelić” inside the Interpretation Centre ”Civitas sacra” on Thursday, July 28, starting at 7 p.m.
Iris Mihatov Miočić was born in Zadar in 1983, where she finished elementary and high school. In 2001, she entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, majoring in painting, and in 2005 she graduated in the class of Professor Igor Rončević. She is engaged in sacred painting and illustrations for children, and has exhibited at a numerous collective and individual exhibitions. She participated also in humanitarian auctions and art colonies.
This is the fourth time that the exhibition on the theme of Croatian spiritual greats has come to Šibenik, organized by the National Sanctuary of St. Josip in Karlovac, and it is part of the big project of the same name, which for the fourteenth year has been reminding the entire Croatian public of the priceless spiritual wealth that our nation has in its God-pleasers.
The exhibition remains open until the end of August this year, and admission is free.
