The Sculptor and His Stone
On Saturday, August 1st, the sculpture exhibition “The Sculptor and His Stone” by Nick Kačić was opened.
Nick presented a body of work to the Šibenik audience that blends the Dalmatian tradition of stonemasonry with modern artistic expression. Among the exhibited sculptures, two recent pieces stand out in particular: “Oko Didino” (Grandpa’s Eye) — the award for the Croatian International Film Festival — and “Šansonijerka” (The Chanson Singer) — the award for the Dalmatian Chanson Festival in Šibenik.
Kačić’s works have been exhibited at prestigious international venues, including the Salon d’Automne in Paris, the London Biennale, Venice, Milan, New York, Philadelphia, and Cairo, and he is set to participate in the 2027 Biennale in Florence.
The exhibition runs until August 24th, and admission is free.
