The Interpretation Centre of the Cathedral of St James

Exhibition entitled ”St Michael” opened on September 25 in the “St. Nikola Tavelic’s gallery” within the Interpretation Centre Civitas Sacra.
This is an art and literary exhibition of works by children from kindergartens in Sibenik, as well as students of elementary and secondary schools in Šibenik, which were created as part of a competition organized by the Catechetical Office of the Šibenik Diocese with goal to promote the character and work of St. Michael, to involved the youngest of Šibenik in the celebration and encouraged devotion to the Archangel.

The project involved: Kindergarten Brat Sunce, Kindergarten Blažena Hozana, Kindergarten Ciciban, Kindergarten Kućica, Kindergarten Jutro, Kindergarten Smilje – Ciciban, Catholic Primary School in Šibenik, Primary School Brodarica, Primary School Juraj Šižgorić, Primary School Grebaštica and Secondary Technical School Šibenik.

Among the more than one hundred entries, ten were awarded:
– in the kindergarten category – group works: “Cathedral” (Kindergarten Blažena Hozana), and “Lik sv. Mihovila ”(Kindergarten Vidici)
– in the kindergarten category – individual works: Marko Dželalija ( Kindergarten Brat Sunce), Lora Pavlovic (Kindergarten Kućica) and Lora Prenkpalaj (Kindergarten Ciciban)
– in the category of elementary schools – literary work: Petar Slavica (4th grade, Catholic Elementary School) and Petra Antunovic (6th grade, Brodarica Primary School)
– in the category of elementary schools – fine arts: Katia Vuletin (4th grade, Juraj Šižgorić elementary school) and Lorena Vlahov (4th grade, Catholic elementary school)
– in the high school category: Luka Kalabrić (Šibenik Technical High School)

The exhibition is organized by the Catechetical Office of the Diocese of Sibenik and co-organized by the Catholic Primary School in Šibenik.

The exhibition remains open until October 2, and admission is free.
