Annual Exhibition of Art and Sculpture Workshop Participants
With the end of the school year, another cycle of the “Jurjevi kipari” (George’s Sculptors) art and sculpture workshops for children, led by academic sculptor Milena Mikulandra, has concluded.
Throughout the year, participants explored various art techniques and materials, with a special emphasis placed on working with ceramics.
They showcased the works created during the school year at a group exhibition held at the St. Nicholas Tavelić Gallery.
A highlight of the program was a performance of Kamishibai —a traditional Japanese form of storytelling using illustrated boards. Through their own illustrations and narration, the participants presented the story of St. Francis of Assisi to the audience, demonstrating not only their artistic abilities but also their storytelling skills. This performance added extra value to the workshop’s final presentation and delighted the gathered visitors.
