8. DAYS OF ICARUS CROATIA
The 8th international scientific-expert meeting ICARUS Croatia – Enhancing heritage experience – exploring cultural routes was held in the period from March 22 to 25 in Šibenik.
Part of the three-day program was held in the multimedia hall of the “Civitas Sacra” Interpretation Centre.
The organizers of the conference were: ICARUS Croatia in cooperation with the ICARUS consortium, the E-ROUTES project, the State Archive in Šibenik and other partners.
This year’s conference was organized as part of the project Creative Europe Travel Routes through Europe – E-ROUTES (e-routes.eu) and deals with the growing need to present and promote scattered cultural heritage and contemporary artistic production related to the experience of traveling to Europe in the past and the present.
The aim of the conference is to connect international experts in the cultural, heritage, tourism, educational and academic sectors. It also aims to provide a forum for providing new approaches and best practices in engaging the public through GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) collections that can be used in the context of cultural tourism routes.
