The Interpretation Centre of the Cathedral of St James

“Towards St. Michael” is a competition for children’s creativity that has been organized by the Catechetic Office of the Šibenik Diocese for kindergarten children and pupils of all primary and secondary schools of the Šibenik Diocese in order to promote the image and work of St. Michael, included the youngest from Šibenik in the celebration and encouraged devotion to the Archangel.

Students tried their hand at artistic and literary creativity. About 180 works from 7 kindergartens and 27 schools of the Diocese were submitted to the competition. The participants were: DV Ciciban, DV Vidici, DV Kućica, DV Žižula, DV Maslina – Tribunj, DV Blažena Hozana, DV Brat Sunce, Primary School Antun Mihanović Petropoljskog – Primary School Gradac and Primary School Oklaj, Primary School Braće Radića – Vrba and Primary School Ogorje, Primary School Brodarica and Primary School Grebaštica, Primary School Filipa Lukasa Kaštel Stari – Primary School Prgomet, Primary School Domovinske zahvalnosti – Knin, Primary School Dr. Franje Tuđmana – Knin, Faust Vrančić Elementary School, Ivan Goran Kovačić Elementary School – Lišane Ostrovičke Elementary School, Ivan Duknović Elementary School – Marina and Blizna Elementary School, Jurja Šižgorića Elementary School, Meterize Elementary School, Petra Krešimira IV Elementary School and Dubrava Elementary School, Petra Zoranić Elementary School – Stankovci, Primošten Elementary School, Rogoznica Elementary School, Vjekoslav Kaleb Elementary School – Tisno, Vrpolje Elementary School and Perković Elementary School, Catholic Elementary School and Technical School, Lovre Montija Elementary School Knin and Ivan Meštrović Elementary School Drniš.

The exhibition of works from the competition was opened in the gallery “St. Nikola Tavelić” on Saturday, October 1 and will remain open until October 15, 2022.
